Welcome to the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre!
While enjoying this year’s Cowichan Bay Prawn Fest, take some time to explore the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre. It is run by the Cowichan Wooden Boat Society and has been a part of the Cowichan Bay community for over 25 years. Explore our Museum, showcasing the rich and vibrant maritime history of the region. View our wonderful display of wooden boats, our restored outboard motor collection, historical pictures of the fishing and maritime history of Cowichan Bay and many other gems that highlight the plentiful maritime history of the area. Learn more about our Ways that were restored in 2012 and are utilized by many boat folk to do repair work on their vessels. Our Centre also hosts a fantastic workshop, where members can utilize tools and supplies to work on their wooden boat projects for minimal cost. Learn more about upcoming courses and talks being offered at the Centre in 2013.
Enjoy a walk on the pier and take in the view. Come check us out, learn more about what we do and consider becoming a part of this community effort to keep West Coast Maritime Heritage alive and well!
We look forward to seeing you!
